הָלַךְ — What Does Your Daily Walk Look Like?
halak (haw-lak'): To go, walk, come, proceed, move
This week's Hebrew word is halak, and it's one of those words that shows up everywhere in Scripture—but carries so much more weight than we often realize. When God tells Abraham to "walk before me," or when we read that "Enoch walked with God," this is the word being used. Halak isn't just about putting one foot in front of the other—it describes your entire pattern of life, your daily conduct, and the direction your whole existence is moving.
This is so important: faith in Scripture is consistently described as a walk, not a single momentary decision. It's ongoing, daily and isn't just the direction of steps. Walking with God encapsulates so much more! You don't just decide to follow God once and coast—you halak with Him, step by step, day by day. The way you spend your mornings, how you treat people, what you give your attention to—all of it is your walk.
Where is your halak taking you today? And is it moving toward God or away from Him?
